Large participation in the human chain for Galicia (10/12/2002)

In spite of the threat of rain, over a thousand people participated last Monday in the Human Chain called by the GOB in solidarity with the Galician public. With the slogan of "Never again" the group was joined by the representatives of all the political parties in the Balearics, except for the Partido Popular. The writer, Miquel Rayo, started the event in the Paseo del Born in Palma, with the reading of a manifest of solidarity for the Galician public followed by the forming of the human chain that went past the Delegation of the Central Government and the Parliament, ending again in the Born.
The virtual human chain promoted by the GOB together with BalearWeb has also had a large echo with the participation of over 300 people who have wished to state their solidarity with the Gallician public.
